Overall Rating: 2 StarsThe iconic Cozy Cone Motel on the "Mother Road" through Cars Land is actually a group of 5 mini-restaurants that serve small snacks all day. Similar to those at Mickey's Toontown, you can technically get a full meal here but you'd have to wait in multiple lines to get it. Overall, the food ranges from the mundane to the irresistable! |
Atmosphere: 3 Stars
Much like the rest of Cars Land, the Cozy Cone leaves you fully immersed in the world of Cars. The best thing about this location, though, is that Lightning McQueen and Mater stop in front of the motel office for meet-and-greets, so the kids can be entertained while you get some food!
Food Quality: 2 Stars
I'm rating this sort of low because most of the food options are the same as you can find on any food cart throughout the Disneyland Resort: churros, ice cream, popcorn (actually "popcone" here), pretzels and pastry twists. None of it is bad, but none of it is unique and you can probably find a shorter line for the same food just around the corner.
There are a couple of exceptions. The Chili "Cone" Carne in a bread cone is a fun treat and slightly better than run-of-the-mill chili. Also, the Red's Apple Freeze is a drink you must have! It's only sold in Cone 4 but it's worth it to hit the spot on a sunny southern Cali day!

Prices aren't terrible at the Cozy Cone, but they're not fantastic, either. For the price, you can go to a traditional quick-service location and get a more rounded meal (or more food in general) and only stand in one line. However, if you hit it at just the right time, stop in for some snacks. It's a fun environment regardless so go get your kicks on Route 66! (See what I did there?)
