This, to me, is the jewel of San Fransokyo Square! If you love chocolate, and I'm sure most people do, then you absolutely must step inside! Located at the entrance of San Fransokyo Square just past Cars Land, find ice cream, shakes, coffee, chocolate and more and you know that since it's Ghirardelli it's going to be quality.

San Fransokyo Square is meant to be a blending of Fisherman's Wharf in San Francisco and the fictional world of Big Hero 6. If you've ever actually been to the real thing then you know that Ghirardelli Square is just steps away from the real thing so it makes complete sense that they be part of San Fransokyo Square. There's not much seating in the immediate vicinity of the shop, but you can certainly find a table nearby. There's plenty of shade, too, so that's not a concern!
The inside of the shop is quirky and they have a fun animated mural above the work station. I laugh when the earthquake starts, but that's probably me being insensitive.

Everything is AMAZING! We typically get ice cream sundaes and I have to say that nowhere else sells chocolate chip ice cream as good as theirs and I literally could drink their fudge because it's so good! (I wouldn't recommend that, though, since it's not at all healthy.) You can't go wrong with their cookies and cookie dough, either. Another perk is that you get a free mini piece of chocolate for just walking in the door - even if you don't buy anything.

Prices may seem rather high, but this is something we learned the hard way: NEVER PLAN ON EATING ANYTHING BY YOURSELF! The portions are humungous and cannot easily be finished by a single person, even if you just get a shake. Plan on splitting whatever you get and you won't get too stuffed and you won't feel like you stretched your wallet too far. This is one of our must-dos on every Disneyland trip because we can't get enough of it!
Disclaimer: I know there are many Ghirardelli Soda Fountains around the country, but that doesn't mean that you shouldn't try it at Disneyland. It's worth it regardless!
