Grizzly Peak Airfield has been a great new "addition" to California Adventure and makes the whole area, from Soarin' to the Grand Californian Hotel, blend together and create an immersive experience. The Smokejumpers Grill was part of that transformation and sits right in the middle of everything. Inside it looks like an aircraft hangar but outside you have great views of the whole land and there's generally plenty of tables in the shade for those hot summer days.

Smokejumpers Grill is the only place in California Adventure that serves burgers now, so if you're family is craving some you have limited options. The menu was recently changed, though, and that's been for the better. The chili on the chili cheeseburger was updated and can now even be purchased as a separate side and many other burgers feature a "smoked sauce" that's very tasty. I think the biggest improvement is the change to waffle-cut fries. I don't know why this is, but I swear those taste better than normal fries. Maybe that's just me.
One advantage to the Smokejumpers Grill versus other burger places in the Disneyland Resort is that the burgers come with limited toppings but there's a topping bar inside where you can add whatever you'd like - even more "smoked sauce." This way you can ensure your whole family will actually eat what's on their burger without having to pick anything off.

The food has gotten a lot better, but the prices aren't fantastic. For simply getting a burger and fries you wouldn't expect to pay as much as $13 and even then the serving size is somewhat small. It's definitely not the cheapest option, but really the prices aren't too unreasonable. Overall I would still recommend stopping by for a good bite to eat - something I wasn't planning on doing until these changes were made!
