Details of the 2017 holiday season at the Disneyland Resort have been scarce at best, but it's only a few weeks away so here is what we know is returning this year. We also now know we will be losing a fan favourite, possibly permanently, but there's also a change coming to Fantasyland that could mean year-round changes for a classic attraction! The much awaited Disney MaxPass is finally going live today at the Disneyland Resort to help guests manage their vacations easier from their smartphones.  Largely this service works just like the currentFastPass system in the parks but with just a few key differences.  Make sure you know the ins and outs of the MaxPass before you try it for yourself to make the transition as smooth as possible.

We've been patiently awaiting the new MaxPass system for several months now and there is still no official news about it, but as of Wednesday the new FastPass system, separate from the MaxPass, is up and running!  Most of the features are the same as the classic system, but there are a few changes to be aware of, including a possible glitch that may or may not last the next few weeks.  For now, here's how the new FastPasses work in the Disneyland Resort.

Guests have been eagerly awaiting any new updates regarding the addition of FastPasses to Toy Story Midway Mania and the Matterhorn Bobsleds since Disney announced their impending arrival in January along with the Disney MaxPass bombshell.  It was a quiet release, but Toy Story Midway Mania has begun to distribute traditional FastPasses today!  Plus we have a little more information as to what we can expect for FastPasses in the near future.

Everyone's getting pretty amped up about the latest rumour hitting the internet about Disneyland.  It's been anticipated since the FastPass+ system was introduced in Walt Disney World a few years ago, but Disneyland has been testing a new digital FastPass system of their own.  While this is still officially a rumour and has not been confirmed by Disney, this one likely and, according to sources, we should be seeing it soon.
