I've noticed a lot of complaints from guests at Disneyland over a MaxPass that "doesn't work." I've used the MaxPass many times and have had a few issues myself, but everything has been very fixable. If you find yourself in this situation just follow some of these suggestions and they will very nearly always solve your problem. After all, you don't want to spend $50 a day and have nothing to show for it, right?

Mobile App Not Refreshing
This is a common problem that usually is due to one of two things: either the app itself is unresponsive or you have a weak internet signal.
- APP NOT RESPONDING - If the Disneyland app itself is not responding you may notice that the attraction wait times, restaurant menus, and MaxPass menu are not loading or updating properly. Force close and restart the app and see if that fixes the issue. If it doesn't...
- WEAK SIGNAL - You probably have a weak internet signal either from WiFi or cell service. The Disneyland app is supposed to tell you when you have a weak signal but it doesn't always work. Disneyland right now has spotty WiFi service so I wouldn't rely on that. If too many people are in one area all trying to use the same signal, WiFi or not, it can slow download speeds drastically. Just try moving to a less crowded area and try again. It almost always will allow the app to work properly and you usually don't have to move far.
MaxPass Barcodes Won't Pull Up
If you come to the FastPass Return entrance and your MaxPass barcodes won't pull up on the app, it's most likely caused by one of the above issues, but there is a way around it. Since your tickets are linked to the app and the MaxPass is assigned to each ticket or pass, you can still scan those at the Return entrance to utilize the FastPass. They work exactly the same and won't cause any technological hiccups.
MaxPass Barcodes Won't Scan
Using your phone at the FastPass scanners? If it seems like the barcodes are not scanning, check your screen brightness settings. Usually the Disneyland app overrides your phone's settings when the FastPass barcodes are displayed, but if that hasn't worked then make sure the brightness level is all the way up. Otherwise the scanners may have some difficulty.
FastPass Selection Has Disappeared
Say you got FastPasses for Radiator Springs Racers but then as your return time draws near it suddenly disappears from your plans on the app. Is it gone? Nope. Click on "See All Plans" to look at the detailed list and chances are you'll see a FastPass selection labelled "Multiple Experiences." This typically means that at some point close to your scheduled return time the attraction was, or is currently, down. Since you may not then be able to use your FastPass at the assigned time they change it to one available any time for the rest of the day at a variety of attractions. Click on the "Multiple Experiences" selection to view all the available options. If your initially selected attraction opens back up, feel free to ride it as planned, but you can also now move it until later if you'd prefer.
PhotoPass Photos Don't Load
This happens more than I care to admit. You get off an attraction, find your photo, type the code you see into the proper area on the Disneyland app, it says it's linked and the pictures will show in 20 minutes, and nothing ever happens. To avoid losing those pictures altogether and still get the most out of your purchase, try the following:

- RE-ENTER THE CODE - Try entering the PhotoPass code again in a less crowded area away from the attraction exit. It may come up with another attempt.
- SAVE THE CODES FOR LATER - We tend to write down the PhotoPass codes and enter them into our app later. This also allows us to remember and type them in multiple times throughout the day in case they don't work the first time. You can try inputting them hours after you come off the attraction and they'll still work.
