Step Back Into the MagicDisneyland has returned after over a year of closure! Slowly, things are returning to normal, though some new policies are here to stay. Make sure you understand how park reservations work and how park hopping is handled now so you aren't caught off guard on your next trip.
Many old favorites are returning, but some are now things of the past. Fans of FastPass need to understand how the Disney Genie and Genie+ service work and, for new attractions and experiences, know how Disneyland's virtual queue system will help you enjoy as much as possible. Check back often to ensure you have the most up-to-date information and consult our reopening guide. |
Park Reservations |
All guests to the Disneyland Resort must have valid admission and valid park reservations to gain entry to either Disneyland Park or Disney California Adventure. If you purchase your tickets on the Disneyland website, you will be required to make a park reservation for each day of your ticket before the purchase is completed. Those purchasing through a ticket agent or other 3rd-party site, the reservations must be made separately online either through the Disneyland website or app. I suggest the app since you can sign into your Disney account (required for reservations), link your park tickets to your account easily and then get to the reservation selection site. Reservations are park specific so check an availability calendar before you book to make sure your preferred dates are available.

Park Hopping |
Park hopping is still available to Magic Key holders and guests who purchase park hopper tickets. Reservations are still required and are park specific, meaning that you must start your day in one specific park. After 1p, those who have park hopper tickets may "hop" to the other park (subject to availability). If the parks are busy, your reservation only "guarantees" (as much as I can use that word) admission to the park the reservation was made for.

Nighttime Spectaculars |
Currently, these nighttime spectaculars are back to dazzle guests each night! Check the Disneyland app for daily showtimes.

Physical Distancing & Masks |
Disneyland is not currently requiring or setting up any kind of physical distancing requirements for guests. Barriers have been removed across the resort and, in most cases, cast members are also exempt from distancing guidelines. This means in-person meet-and-greets with characters are back as well!
Masks are currently optional throughout the resort for fully vaccinated guests and required for those 2 and older in all indoor locations. That said, CMs are not asking guests for verification of their vaccination status and this is completely a voluntary measure. |
