An official word is expected soon, but there have been some quiet and a few odd changes made to the Annual Pass offerings at the Disneyland Resort. The good news is that there are once again offers for less expensive passes for southern California residents, but Disney is also reportedly introducing a new pass that has many people wondering who the target audience is. |
Reliable information has surfaced showing that the Disneyland Resort is going to start offering a "Disney California Adventure Fun Pass" will be sold exclusively at Costco for just under $330 and offer 10% discounts on food and merchandise as well as admission year-round (with unknown blackout dates) and a commemorative pin. Until official word is received there are no further details on how many days of admission this will include or why they're choosing to sell such tickets exclusively at a big-box retailer. An announcement is expected in early September.
There is other good news, though, for those living in southern California. Last year when DLR unveiled their new AP tiers and offerings they announced that the passes specifically for locals would no longer be sold and only available for renewal. Sometime in the last month Disney has quietly reintroduced the Southern California Select Passport for new purchase on the Disneyland webpage! The pass comes with 10% discounts and a host of blackout dates but at least it's available again!
