As Halloween Time at the Disneyland Resort looms ever closer, Disney is hard at work getting their final plans ready and are already working on a couple of fan-favourite attractions: Space Mountain: Ghost Galaxy and Haunted Mansion Holiday. With only a couple of weeks until the spooky festivities commence, Disneyland has announced one last attraction overlay in California Adventure that will most likely be a hit.

Starting 15 September, guests will be able to experience Guardians of the Galaxy - Mission: BREAKOUT in a new way. Once the sun goes down, it will officially be Guardians of the Galaxy - Monsters After Dark. This new adventure takes place immediately after the Guardians have escaped and left the Collector's Fortress only to discover that they've left Groot behind. Rocket enlists guests' help to assist them in their plan to retrieve Groot while making it past all the monsters they let loose during their last plan.
Unlike the other attraction overlays, Guardians of the Galaxy - Monsters After Dark will only take place after night falls. As long as the sun is up, the original Mission: BREAKOUT is rolling. The new overlay features music written by the composer for the film soundtracks, Tyler Bates. It doesn't seem at this time like there will be multiple varying experiences for Monsters After Dark like there is for Mission: BREAKOUT, but this will make the attraction slightly busier since many guests will now want to ride it multiple times a day in order to get the different storylines between day and night. Keep that in mind as you make your way around the resort.
Now there is one more thing to be excited for this Halloween season, but it will be gone with the rest of the ghoulish fun after Halloween night. Are you excited for this new mission from the Guardians?
