For over a year now, the "brand new" Cars Land at Disney California Adventure has still been under construction while Imagineers work on a new attraction inside Luigi's Casa de la Tires. After a very long wait Disney has announced the official opening date of the new attraction "Luigi's Rollickin' Roadsters!" |
When Cars Land first opened, Luigi greeted guests with the underwhelming attraction Luigi's Flying Tires, a "modernized" version of the Flying Saucers attraction that also lasted a short time in the original Tomorrowland of 1955. While the concept was interesting, the attraction did not always offer what it advertised. Occasionally guests struggled to get the tires to fly across the pavement or bump into others at all, one of the whole points of the ride. This and other reasons led to its quick closure.
Contrary to its predecessor, Luigi's Rollickin' Roadsters promises to be a unique trackless experience where guests hop aboard one of Luigi and Guido's relatives from Italy while they do "traditional" dances in the back garden. Amid all the closures across the way at Disneyland Park, guests will be happy to know that this fun new experience will be opening shortly on 7 March 2016 at DCA!
