Disney has finally announced the replacement to the now-discontinued Annual Pass - the Magic Key program! This new program has a lot in common with the AP and allows for flexibility and continues to provide exclusive discounts, opportunities and special events for Magic Key Holders that many Disneyland fans have become accustomed to. Here's everything you need to know about the Magic Key! |
The Basics
The Magic Key uses the new park reservation system that was introduced at Disneyland's reopening. Magic Key holders will be able to make a certain number of park reservations within a window of time and have access to a selection of added perks and special events or offerings throughout the year. California residents are also able to purchase Magic Key passes on a payment plan allowing more flexibility financially.
It's important to note that there is a penalty for reservation no-shows. If you make 3 park reservations and fail to use them within a 90-day window, you will be blocked from making additional reservations for 30 days. If you know you will be unable to use the reservations you have made, cancel them to avoid the penalty.
