Are you a huge fan of Beauty and the Beast? Are you waiting in anticipation for the new live-action film opening in March? I am, too! As is the new tradition, Disney Parks will be showing a sneak peek of the new film to help build up excitement for the production and it starts this weekend at Disney California Adventure. |
The sneak preview is scheduled to run at the Sunset Showcase Theater in Hollywood Land at Disney California Adventure from 10 February - 26 March 2017. The preview will be presented in 3D and use the theater's special effects to enhance the experience for guests of a selected scene in the movie. The lobby will also be filled with actual props and costume pieces used in the making of the film.
The Sunset Showcase Theater, as many guests may recall, was originally used for the MuppetVision 3D attraction until that was closed to make way for "For the First Time in Forever: A Frozen Sing-Along". Once that attraction also closed it was decided to use the vacant theater for Disney Parks' new tradition of sneak previews for all their major theatrical releases. The latest previews have included Doctor Strange and Alice Through the Looking Glass, for example. It may sound like a cheap way to make a buck, which it kind of is, but the added special effects from the theater create a unique experience you won't get at the cinema once Beauty and the Beast is released. If you're at the Disneyland Resort in the next month or so, I would highly recommend checking it out!
