Disneyland has seen some success with VIP dining packages including those for nighttime parades and World of Color, and even branched out with the World of Color dessert party. This week they've announced plans for a new exclusive lounge to open in Tomorrowland later this spring and, although the details are still a bit sketchy, it actually sounds pretty cool. |
The Tomorrowland Skyline Lounge, as it's called, will be opening 26 May. There guests will be given boxed treats to enjoy which include small desserts, seasonal fruits, cheeses and a selection of non-alcoholic drinks. The biggest draw is the fact that guests will be free to come and go as they please and can enjoy the fireworks from their seats if one is scheduled for that night.
Reservations are highly recommended and can be made here. Prices are still somewhat steep at $45 per person 3 years or older and the lounge is only open from 8 - 10p each night. No AP discounts apply and separate theme park admission is still required.
The oddest thing about this announcement is that it is still unclear where exactly this lounge will be located. There is reason to suspect the old Starcade or the PeopleMover loading platform, but the most likely guess has been the upper floor of the Tomorrowland Expo Center (above Star Wars Launch Bay), especially given the photo above Disneyland has attached to the lounge's web page. That's my personal guess since it makes the most sense and could likely fit the most people. The whole experience at the Tomorrowland Skyline Lounge could be pretty awesome and a lot less pricey than the World of Color dessert party, but would you go for it?
