Overall Rating: 3 StarsSan Fransokyo Square may not initially seem the ideal place to have Mexican food, but the Cocina Cucamonga Mexican Grill will surprise you with its big flavours, fast service, and great food. Not to mention, this is the only regular Mexican restaurant in Disney California Adventure so if tacos are what you're craving this is one of your few options. |
Atmosphere: 3 Stars
San Fransokyo Square is one of the best themed areas in all of Disney California Adventure. It truly feels like you're in the middle of the world of Big Hero 6. Now, it doesn't really have a fiesta-like atmosphere so there's a bit of a disconnect there, but you really won't be searching too long for seats even on the busiest of days so that's a bit plus.
Food Quality: 3 Stars
It's not very authentic, but the food is really good! Some people get upset when they get flour tortillas instead of corn, but I actually prefer flour so I was excited about that! The tacos are not very heavy and not too spicy either while the rice and beans are full of flavour and have just the right bite to them. I'm not the biggest fan of guacamole, but I actually like the guac here so that really says something about it. They don't just have tacos, either, so you can get burritos, carne asada plates and tamales. The biggest crowd pleaser, though - birria tacos!
Value: 4 Stars
Considering the amount of food you get, I think the prices are extremely reasonable and the best part is that if you're not too hungry you can easily split plates as well. Disney park food can seem overpriced a lot, but this isn't really one of those places.
