Overall Rating: 3 StarsIf you've stepped foot in Downtown Disney, you've passed by the La Brea Bakery Cafe near the security tents. When en route to a magical Disney day, it's easy to pass by many of the shops and restaurants in Downtown Disney, but if you have a moment to spare and some pretty good value, then this is an excellent and deliciously fresh option! |
Atmosphere: 2 Stars
There's nothing particularly amazing about the atmosphere here. A large portion of the seating is an outdoor terrace next to the main flow of pedestrian traffic. It's not a bad location or view, it just doesn't have that same Disney charm you can expect at restaurants inside the parks. As far as traditional restaurants go, it's really quite nice.
Food: 4 Stars
The food is amazing! At certain times of the year they have seasonal options which all involve in-season fresh ingredients (when I was last there, they all involved strawberries!). They offer sandwiches, salads, pastas, pizzas and other small plates to show off California's eclectic cuisine. Come hungry, though, because the portions can be on the large side!
Value: 3 Stars
Most sandwiches cost around $15 and entrees about $20 or so, but the portion sizes make the prices seem a lot more reasonable. It may not be the perfect place to go if you're hoping to save a ton of money, but the same quality and quantity of food inside the parks can easily cost you $5 to $10 more per plate. All-in-all, it ain't bad!
