Overall Rating: 3 StarsI'm not sure the Storyteller's Cafe gets the foot-traffic it deserves sometimes. Located just inside the Grand Californian Hotel, this has one of the best buffets in the resort! It's nothing too fancy and never super busy, but there are enough options that typically everyone leaves happy in the end. |

I personally get very confused at the decor inside the restaurant. I think "storyteller" is meant to refer specifically to campfire stories told by cowboys, but I'm not exactly sure. Don't get me wrong, everything is well done and looks nice but it doesn't automatically scream "storyteller" for "meant for kids".
Food: 4 Stars
The food is amazing! It's not a super extensive buffet but I haven't had anything i didn't like. Their pastas are great, they have tasty salads, and you can still get freshly carved meats. Don't even get me started on the desserts because they will blow your mind! They always have bread pudding and cheesecakes and cupcakes . . . So great! And if you don't find anything you want at the buffet they also have an a la carte menu. Try to duck confit!

It's not the most expensive buffet, but it's not a cheap meal either. Costs are lower if you order a la carte, but I wouldn't really be worried about the price too much. Like with any other buffet restaurant, maybe plan for only one a trip and get your money's worth - tell your kids to not eat beforehand! The cost is fairly well worth it and I would try it out if you can.
