Overall Rating: 3 StarsOne of the most premium experiences you can enjoy, the World of Color Dessert Party offers a truly VIP experience with unbeatable views of World of Color you will never forget. It's definitely a bit pricey, but it may be worth it if you want an extra magical experience (and save up a little for it, as well). |
Atmosphere: 4 Stars
One of the best parts of the dessert party is that the whole area is prime World of Color viewing. There are limited towers obstructing the show, the whole area is raised above the rest so you can easily see over other guests' heads and you get to sit! Not to mention the service from the wait staff is always excellent and truly make you feel like you're all VIPs. If you're worried about sharing table space, each table seats 4 guests so, at most, you'll share a table with one other couple and, at best, your group gets the table to themselves!
Food: 3 Stars
The amount of food you get is actually fairly substantial. Keep in mind this is not an actual meal so the dessert plate is a generous helping of grapes, cheeses, crackers and desserts. Pre-COVID, the dessert selection was larger and the cheeses were a much higher quality than they are now, but that doesn't mean that you'll be upset at what you get. If you haven't been to a dessert party since the parks reopened, just a heads up that you may notice a slight reduction in quality.
However, the drinks are still excellent. They have many specialty cocktails to choose from, a limited selection of wine & beer, non-alcoholic mocktails, sodas, hot chocolate and coffee. For the non-alcoholic beverages, you can have as much as you'd like!
Can't finish all your food? Don't worry - they have plenty of take-home boxes so you can enjoy your treats later. We tend to pack them up and have them as breakfast "pastries" the next morning - no one needs to know!

Value: 2 Stars
I almost would have given this 3 stars had they not fudged on the quality of the food since returning, but regardless this is an expensive experience. Generally it's $89/person and even when you consider that includes unlimited non-alcoholic drinks, a huge plateful of desserts, a prime viewing spot for World of Color and the guarantee that you'll get to see the show up to 60 days in advance, that's still a somewhat hefty price tag. I would encourage you try it once, if at all feasible. It's a wonderful time and we honestly come back to this over and over again.
