I'm not traditionally a big fan of daytime parades in Disney parks, but I had seen so much online obsessing over the floats and characters in this one that I just had to see it for myself. Am I ever glad I did! The lively music and performers will get you dancing in this parade that doesn't have long left!

Ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls! The Main Street Electrical Parade is a Disneyland original and classic since its premiere in the 1970s. After a stint across the globe it's come home for a limited time - although there have been a few changes along the way. ​UPDATED - 3 Aug 2019

Specifically for Mickey's Halloween Party, the "Frightfully Fun Parade" is a much anticipated and much needed addition to the festivities!  This parade is a great mixture of classic Disney parks influences and timeless Disney villains so even if you're not super familiar with Disneyland you'll be blown away by what they can do in a short period of time. ​(UPDATED 27 Sept 2017)

The most successful daytime parade to come out of Disney California Adventure is the Pixar Play Parade which celebrates the wonderful world of the Pixar family - at home in DCA!  This upbeat parade can be an excellent way to keep the kids entertained for a while during what can be one of the least productive times of day, but maybe you only need to see it once per trip.

Disneyland hasn't had a night-time parade since it closed the Main Street Electrical Parade and followed that up with the ill-conceived "Light Magic".  Paint the Night, a NEW electrical parade, pays tribute to the original spectacular and will blow your eyes and mind with magic, music, dancing and much more!
