This is also one fireworks show that you absolutely need to be in the park to fully appreciate. We always try to watch it at least twice every trip simply because there's so much to see you can't see it all the first time! |
Atmosphere: 4 Stars
In case you didn't already know, the unique feature of Disneyland Forever is the projections that surround the audience. You become totally immersed in the show and there's no way you can pay attention to all of it at once. Of course, it matters where you watch the show, so here's some insider tips for viewing areas:
- Main Street, USA - Anywhere along Main Street will give you, in my opinion, the best views and most special effects. The projections match up with the buildings on the street and pay homage to Disneyland's history by showcasing Main Street's colour schemes over the years. This is my favourite place to watch!
- Central Hub - From the Central Hub you have a good view of the castle and the Matterhorn, which gets transformed into Mount Wanna-Hack-a-Lugee, by the way!
- "it's a small world" - You won't see the castle, but you can still see all the fireworks over IASM along with all the projections on the attraction facade.
- Rivers of America - A la Fantasmic!, projections are shown on water screens in front of Tom Sawyer Island and, along with the fireworks over the castle, extra are shot off from the island. Keep in mind this is possibly suspended during Star Wars Land construction.
Entertainment Quality: 4 Stars
Disney has always been great with fireworks and this is no exception. The projections, inflatables, snow (yep, snow!) and pyrotechnics are astounding and the theme song, Live the Magic, is heartwarming and catchy! Don't short change yourself and watch the show from your hotel room because you'll be missing a large part of what makes Disneyland Forever so magical!

Disneyland Forever starts immediately after Paint the Night finishes. If you watch the parade from Town Square at the bottom of Main Street, USA then once it passes by you can find any spot in the middle of the street and within 5 minutes the fireworks will begin. If you do that then you will likely only spend 30-40 minutes for two 15-minute shows, which is pretty impressive! However you have to do it, DO NOT MISS THIS SHOW!!
