Overall Rating: 3 StarsThe signature spectacular of Pixar Fest at the Disneyland Resort celebrates the themes of friendship found in most Disney/Pixar films and is the first fireworks show Disney has ever created based solely on Pixar. The show envelops you in the magic, but may fall a bit short compared to other shows out there. |
Atmosphere: 3 Stars
Using the same projection technology as Disneyland Forever, you feel completely immersed in the magic when you stand on Main Street, USA and are surrounded by Pixar characters and environments all around you. You can also easily watch the show near "it's a small world" and the Rivers of America, but I feel that you get the full experience on Main Street. With so many viewing options available it rarely feels like you're packed like sardines with the rest of the guests.
Entertainment Quality: 2 Stars
The show is fun and has a fantastic message of friendship, but there is one fatal flaw: it does not involve a new soundtrack. The entire show consists of pieced together soundtracks from Pixar films and leaves you dying for something new. It sounds like a silly complaint, but it becomes very obvious after just a few short minutes. Typically fireworks shows tie movie moments together to create a new narrative, Together Forever simply presents a hodge-podge of memorable moments connected by a loose theme.
Time Commitment: 3 Stars
This is a fairly short fireworks show, less than 10 minutes, which can be a good thing for people and families who are tired and ready to head back to the hotel. It feels somewhat short to me, but it's long enough to enjoy yourself and have some fun before the night ends.
