The long-awaited Season of the Force is in full force (no pun intended) in Tomorrowland at Disneyland and few guests have left disappointed. The Star Wars celebration continues through January, so here are a few helpful tips and insights to ensure you don't leave angry, because anger leads to hate . . . ;) |
Star Wars Launch Bay
In the former Innoventions building (now Tomorrowland Expo Center), this exhibit will continue after the Season of the Force has ended. Inside you can browse through props, models and costumes from the movie franchise and shop around a more pricey Star Wars store. It's important to note that:
- Launch Bay does not open until 10a.
- There are also meet-and-greets for Chewbacca and Darth Vader, but their lines are separate from the queue to get in the building.
- If you want to see Chewie or Vader, the lines tend to grow very quickly so plan accordingly.
New Star Tours Scene
It is true that Star Tours has added a new scene based off the upcoming movie where you get to follow the Millennium Falcon through a fallen Star Destroyer. If you're worried about whether you'll get to see it since all scenes are randomised, don't. During Season of the Force all guests will experience the new scene as well as one of the others at random.
Star Wars: Path of the Jedi
The newest occupant of the Tomorrowland Theatre is a 10-minute show of clips from all the Star Wars movies focusing on the force and the growth and fall of the Jedi with the latest 2-minute trailer of The Force Awakens at the end. If it sounds dull, remember that they do employ the theatre's special effects to bring the movies to life.
Hyperspace MountainThis newest overlay of Space Mountain has guests reeling! Now after coming out of hyperspace you join X-Wings and other Rebel Forces to fight off and dodge Star Destroyers and TIE Fighters as you whiz through the stars. As can be expected, lines for Hyperspace Mountain fill up quickly and Fastpasses don't last very long so make sure you make plans before you enter the park and know what you want to do first. |
