Where can you begin on a list like this? I'm not a huge Halloween lover, but one visit to Disneyland in October and you will fall in love even if just for the time you're there! Anytime you can add a dash of some Disney magic to something you're bound to make it unforgettable and leave everyone wanting more. Although there's much more, here are my top 5 reasons to love Halloween at DLR.

Much like the parades or fireworks, World of Color at Disney California Adventure does take a little bit of advance preparation, but not to the extent that you may think.  World of Color is unique because whereas parades are at eye-level and fireworks are in the sky this spectacular is both.  Getting a "great seat" isn't hard, though, but there are certain things to keep in mind to make sure you're not diminishing the experience of others around you.

Each land in Disneyland has an iconic snack, some are just more well known than others but that doesn't mean they're any less tasty! No matter what part of the park you happen to be in there's a different treat to try, all unique to their respective lands and not typically found elsewhere in the resort. On your next visit, when you have the mid-day munchies, check out this list and try something new - after your first Dole whip, of course!

Now that security checkpoints have been changed, spending time in Downtown Disney is easier and less crowded than ever before!  The themed shopping district and third entity of the Disneyland Resort is often shuffled under the rug and cast aside as a less important and interesting area, but in reality it's an incredibly unique destination with shopping, dining, and entertainment you can't find elsewhere! ​UPDATED 21 June 2021

We've talked about cooling off at California Adventure, but on a hot summer day there are also plenty of ways to stay cool in the Happiest Place on Earth itself!  Obviously, certain restaurants are indoors and can keep you out of the sun that way, but most visitors don't necessarily spend the time and money those places require.  For you guys, here are some of my favourite ways to tackle with the heat.

Obviously Disneyland is meant for families. That was Walt's entire idea when he first dreamed up the park and most guests feel they know which attractions are best already, but the truth is they tend to simply follow the crowds and trends and can skip over some lesser-known gems that everyone will love.
