Overall Rating: 4 StarsIn case you were wondering if there was anything inside the Carthay Circle Theater, the answer is yes. In fact it's the most elegant restaurant inside the parks at the Disneyland Resort. Every element of the experience transports you back to the heyday of Hollywood and makes you feel like a million bucks - but I promise you don't actually have to spend that much! |
Atmosphere: 4 Stars
The original Carthay Circle Theater was where Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs premiered back in 1937 so that's where they got the inspiration for everything inside. You are taken back to Hollywood of the 1930s in an elegant dining hall with multiple rooms, each with their own special touches. You may notice the large mural on the ceiling in the central room depicts the woods from Snow White but the servers and hosts will point out all the other little details from the film. For example, some of the tables are made so the wood grain pattern hides the Evil Queen. The whole restaurant takes it from just another meal to an experience!
Food Quality: 4 Stars
The food is always excellent. I don't know if you can really go wrong with any of the choices. I personally love the fiery duck wings and the pork chop but they also have fantastic signature rolls, steaks, gnocchi, chicken and fish. You can come back frequently as well because they change their menu slightly every few months to keep things fresh.
Value: 3 Stars
With great elegance comes great cost. It is by no means the most expensive restaurant in the entire Disneyland Resort, but it is more expensive than the Blue Bayou. You can expect to spend between $20-$30/entree for lunch and $30-$45/entree for dinner. It will be a splurge and something you might have to save up for, but I promise that it's worth it! Consider treating yourself on your next trip and you won't be disappointed.
