I've talked about the PCH Grill before, but the Surf's Up! breakfast is such a different experience from the rest of the day that it needs to be talked about separately. It's a great character dining option and can be more affordable than many others in the resort. Check it out if you want a tasty fun way to start your day!

Obviously nothing changes about the interior of the restaurant. It still can feel like the 90's blew up in there, but the energy level during breakfast is so different. We've been to most of the character breakfast options in Disneyland and this is the only one where I saw kids actively trying to get to the front to dance with the characters. Unlike other places they don't just parade everyone around the tables. Instead they periodically have a dance break and invite anyone and everyone to join them. It's so fun to watch and the kids absolutely love it!
It's well known that this is the only character dining where you can meet Mickey but it's also the only place to meet Stitch in the entire resort. For Stitch fans like me - that's a big deal!

Food Quality: 3 Stars
The food is really tasty and offers a lot of selections for those who don't like breakfast foods. Admittedly, nothing will blow your socks off, but it's all very good so there shouldn't be anyone in your family walking away hungry.

As far as character breakfasts go, this is one of the more affordable options. It can take some time to get to the Paradise Pier Hotel if you're not actually staying there, but I feel it's worth the walk. Because of the layout of the restaurant it's also pretty easy for them to accommodate large groups which is a big perk. This was probably one of the most fun character dining experiences we've ever had so I highly recommend checking it out!
