Halloween Time is literally just about to start at Disneyland for another frightfully fun year and we now know all the great seasonal treats and dishes coming to the Disneyland Resort for the season. There are many favourites returning, but there are a ton of brand new surprises in store plus some unexpected changes for some fan favourite goodies. Here are the highlights to expect between 15 September and 31 October 2017!

Treats & Snacks

If you're like me, you can't wait to sink your teeth into something scary sweet! Here are some of the most exciting things coming to Disneyland (I've highlighted a couple of stand-out treats):
  • Campfire S'mores Funnel Cake | Stage Door Cafe, Frontierland
  • Oogie Boogie Dessert | French Market, New Orleans Square - A chocolate cup filled with chocolate mousse, green pound cake and covered with cookie bits and gummy worms
  • Dreamsicle Beignets | Mint Julep Bar, New Orleans Square - This one surprised me. They've had pumpkin and butterscotch in years past and this year they're trying the ever-classic dreamsicle. Yum!
  • Bat Wing Raspberry Sundae | Clarabelle's Hand Scooped Ice Cream, Buena Vista Street - White chocolate-swirl raspberry ice cream with bat wing cookies
  • Spider Silk Ice Cream Sandwich | Clarabelle's Hand Scooped Ice Cream, Buena Vista Street - Black French-style macaron filled with charcoal-colored cherry ice cream and topped with popping candy
  • Pumpkin Raisin Bread Pudding | Pacific Wharf Cafe, Pacific Wharf
  • Monstermallow Donut | Schmoozies, Hollywood Land
  • Spoke-y Cone Macaron | Cozy Cone Motel, Cars Land - Cone-shaped French-style macarons filled with marshmallow buttercream and candy corn

You can also cool down with some tasty seasonal beverages like Green Apple Spell Lemonade at the Smokejumper's Grill in Grizzly Peak or the return of the Poison Apple-tini (alcholoic) at the Carthay Circle in Buena Vista Street.
Another pleasant surprise - this one for churro lovers! Alright, let's admit it, who's not a churro lover? Sure they're a bit pricey, but they still taste great! Now for the Halloween season you can enjoy different colors and flavours of churros available at specific areas in the parks:
  • Purple, green and orange churros | Throughout the resort!
  • Sour Watermelon | Frontierland & New Orleans Square
  • Graham Cracker (w/Marshmallow-Chocolate Dipping Sauce) | Critter Country
  • Galactic Churro | "a bug's land" (of all places...)

De-frightful Dishes

Not everything is sweet! There are some specialty dishes you can enjoy at both quick- and table-service restaurants throughout the resort. Here are just a few to get your mouth watering:
  • Spicy Chicken Sandwich | Carnation Cafe, Main Street, USA
  • Enchanted Maize Flatbread | Red Rose Taverne, Fantasyland
  • Creole-Spiced Shrimp & Grits | Cafe Orleans, New Orleans Square
  • Bison Blue Cheese Burger with Candied Bacon | Hungry Bear Restaurant, Critter Country
  • Lamb Kofta | Bengal Barbecue, Adventureland
  • Anti-Vampire Pizza | Boardwalk Pizza & Pasta, Paradise Pier (October only)
  • Dragon's Breath Pork Tacos | Studio Catering Co., Hollywood Land
