Pixar Fest - Everything You Need to Know

At long last, Pixar Fest is finally here at the Disneyland Resort! Pixar Pier isn't set to open at California Adventure until late June, but the good news is that you don't need Pixar Pier to experience all the fun happening now during Pixar Fest. If you're planning a trip anytime from now through the summer then make sure you know what's happening so you can take it all in.

Food

It's customary for Disneyland to add new food and snack options for their seasonal events, but there has rarely been a list of treats as long as this one! Some of the highlights for you foodies out there include:

• PIXAR LEMON RASPBERRY CAKE - A 3-tiered cake with lemon, blue vanilla, and red velvet cakes with raspberry puree and cream cheese icing. Just looking at it screams Pixar! It's available at the Plaza Inn, Pacific Wharf Cafe and Paradise Garden Grill.
• UP-THEMED TV DINNER - The Carnation Cafe will be serving a pork chop "TV dinner" style inspired by Carl Fredricksen from Up.
• SPECIALTY FUNNEL CAKES - Find new decadent funnel cakes inspired by the Toy Story films at the Stage Door Cafe in Frontierland or the Hungry Bear Restaurant in Critter Country.
• RATATOUILLE - Inspired by the film, find a 3-course Ratatouille meal at the Cafe Orleans complete with shrimp ratatouille and berry-stuffed beignets a la mode.
• ALIEN PIZZA PLANET - Redd Rockett's Pizza Port has been transformed by the lovable Green Aliens into Pizza Planet complete with a new menu and some tasty sweet treats.
• FLAVORED CHURROS - You can now find specialty churros throughout both parks including flavors such as lemon, Mexican cocoa, carrot cake, and donut icing.
• COCO-THEMED DELICACIES - From the Rancho del Zocalo Restaurant to the Paradise Garden Grill and Cocina Cucamonga Mexican Grill, you can find a slew of new dishes inspired by the rich culture found in Coco. Enjoy tamales, Al Pastor Huarache and even tres leches parfaits among other delights!

Entertainment

Probably the most exciting parts of Pixar Fest are the entertainment options - some new but some are returning favorites you simply can't pass up!

• PIXAR SHORTS FILM FESTIVAL | Hollywood Land - Stop by the Sunset Showcase Theater and enjoy a selection of classic Pixar animated shorts on the big screen in 3D. The selection changes periodically throughout the summer so stop by the theater itself to find out what's playing.​
• PIXAR PLAY PARADE | Disneyland Parade Route - The classic parade from California Adventure has made the move across the street to Disneyland Park and features some all new floats for the occasion! Be sure to catch this energy-filled parade anywhere along the parade route and be aware that you will probably find yourself humming the theme song for hours afterward!

• PAINT THE NIGHT | Disney California Adventure Parade Route - Since Disneyland got the Pixar Play Parade, California Adventure got the crowd favorite Paint the Night! It's finally back and boasts a new float inspired by The Incredibles. This is probably one of the best parades Disney has ever done so be sure to end your night with it! (Note: Until Pixar Pier opens, Paint the Night will be the only nighttime spectacular at California Adventure. World of Color will return late June.)
  

• TOGETHER FOREVER | Main Street, USA - An all-new fireworks spectacular celebrating the theme of friendship in many Disney/Pixar films has debuted at Disneyland Park! This is an immersive show involving not just fireworks but also state-of-the-art projections to bring to life Sleeping Beauty Castle, Main Street, USA, the Matterhorn, "it's a small world" and the Rivers of America. Choose wherever you like and enjoy the music and magic in the sky!
